This posting is for testing purposes only, as the Academy is working on creating a volunteer opportunity board.
Purpose
This role helps raise awareness of the actuarial profession and the Academy by engaging directly with students and early-career professionals. Volunteers support the Academy’s mission by promoting actuarial careers, strengthening the talent pipeline, and increasing visibility of the profession.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the Academy at the Example University Career & Networking Expo
Set up the table display and materials
Staff the Academy’s exhibit table during the assigned shift
Engage with students and alumni interested in actuarial careers
Answer questions about actuarial career paths and the Academy
Share general information about the profession and Academy resources
Time Commitment
3–4 hours (per shift)

Volunteers may sign up for either a morning or afternoon shift, or both if available.
Morning: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (includes setup)
Afternoon: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Travel Required
Yes – Volunteers are responsible for their own travel to the event location. Meals (breakfast and lunch) will be provided.
Skills Required
Ability to clearly communicate and connect with student and educator audiences. Background in outreach, education, or professional presentations preferred.
Experience Required
Volunteers should have a basic understanding of the actuarial profession and be comfortable engaging with students and early-career professionals. Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for sharing career insights are preferred.
